HISTORY OF SBWC

For almost two decades, the Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) has been supporting businesswomen at different stages of their business careers. Through a holistic sustainable approach, SBWC offers expertise and guidance covering all aspects of a business venture.

Set up in 2002 under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of Nama Women Advancement Establishment, SBWC has now over 2,000 members from different fields, from the UAE and across the world, including Britain, Brazil and Kuwait. It has been empowering potential and existing female entrepreneurs and businesswomen to establish and realize their ambitions in both traditional and non-traditional sectors in the UAE.

From technical assistance in setting up businesses, to training and mentorship, exposure to opportunities and help in forging partnerships with private organizations within the UAE and beyond, SBWC is the all-comprehensive one-stop business-hub for anyone and everyone seeking answers. SBWC excels as a reference point for successful sustainable projects.

The Sharjah Business Women Council is one of three affiliates of NAMA Women Advancement Establishment.
